Once again, We-Ko-Pa’s Saguaro course finds itself named as the No. 1 public golf course in Arizona for an astounding 16 out of the last 17 years. This remarkable achievement was recently recognized by Golfweek in their annual “Best Courses You Can Play, State by State” rankings list. Designed by the renowned architectural duo Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, the Saguaro Course is routinely recognized as one of the best public golf courses anywhere in the Southwestern United States.

Meanwhile, its sister course, Cholla, once again found at Top-10 spot (No. 9) a ranking Cholla has held every year since its opening in December of 2001. The dynamic duo of Saguaro and Cholla are the only two sister courses to hold a Top-10 ranking in this year’s list.

“It’s an outstanding recognition for both of our superb golf courses to be included in this prestigious list,” expressed Matt Barr, the General Manager of We-Ko-Pa Golf Club. “Maintaining these spots over such an extended period reflects not just the exemplary effort put in by our team, but also the unwavering dedication to quality by Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation.”

Best in state is only one accolade We-Ko-Pa received this year form our friends at Golfweek. Saguaro also was named to the Top 100 Resort Courses list (No. 60 in the US) and, even more impressive, named to the Top-100 Public Access Courses list coming in at No. 78. Saguaro’s sister course Cholla was also named to the Top 100 Resort Courses list, taking the No. 122 in the United States.

We-Ko-Pa Golf Club’s Saguaro course’s remarkable track record of excellence, holding the No. 1 position for 16 out of the last 17 years, along with Cholla’s ability to hold a Top-10 spot serves as a testament to the club’s dedication to providing guests with an extraordinary experience. These accolades are a reflection of the club’s unwavering commitment to quality and the collective efforts of all involved.
