Positions Available

Groundskeeper

Pay: $12-$15/hour

General Purpose of Position:

Under the general direction of the Golf Course Superintendent and his Assistants, performs maintenance work necessary for the grounds keeping of the golf courses. Work involves initiation, direction and performance of tasks relating to golf course maintenance; performs related work as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use of hand tools including rakes, shovels, loppers, etc.
  • Operation of power tools including weed eaters, hedge trimmers, hover mowers, edgers, etc.
  • Ability to walk mow greens and tees on the Golf Course and Practice Facility.
  • Fill divots and repair ball marks.
  • Operation of golf course utility vehicles, including but not limited to sand bunker rake vehicles, and turbine blowers.
  • Spot spraying and hand watering as needed and as directed by Supervisor.
  • Janitorial duties related to maintaining the cleanliness of the Maintenance Building, including shop, break room, and restrooms.
  • Providing proper care for equipment by performing vehicle inspections, vehicle cleaning, and reporting potential issues to the Maintenance Mechanic.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime during aerification and overseed procedures.

Additional Duties and Qualifications:

  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instruction and specifications.
  • Knowledge of golf course maintenance techniques and proper course conditions.
  • Must be able to maintain cooperative working relationships with other employees and departments.
  • Present a professional image in accordance with FME/FMYN dress/uniform policy.

Outside Service Attendant

Pay: $11 + tips

General Purpose of Job:

Assist all guests upon arrival at the golf course, departing for the first tee, and upon completion of their round.  Properly store all golf bags and golf cars.  Prepare and breakdown the practice facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide and environment for an outstanding golf experience.
  2. Personalize the guest experience by greeting all guests at the bag drop and assisting guests with any reasonable request.
  3. Ensure that keeping the staging area, practice facility tee, and golf car storage area clean and orderly.
  4. Ensure that you have a crisp professional appearance.
  5. Ensure cleanliness of golf cars by thoroughly spraying batteries, body and interior.  Dry body with a towel, park golf cars safely and plug in to a charger.
  6. Control waste, recycle, and operate vehicles in a safe manner at all times.

Additional Duties and Qualifications:

  1. Work closely with all outside staff members.
  2. Promote teamwork and continuity among staff members.
  3. Pick up stray practice range balls in the desert throughout the day.
  4. Provide ice towels when appropriate and other special touches to anticipate needs.
