The weather is starting to warm up again which means the population here in the Phoenix area is going to dramatically decrease as our out-of-town friends head back to their summer homes. It also means Phoenix and Scottsdale residents have an opportunity to play some of the best golf courses in the world for a reduced rate.

Management at We-Ko-Pa Golf Club is pleased to announce the launch of new fleet of 160 golf carts equipped with GPS. For the first time in club history, Club Car was chosen to carry golfers around Cholla and Saguaro. And they’re doing it in style.

Around the time the first Scot took a whack at a pebble with a bent stick, golfers have been placing wagers on who will come out on top. Gaming and golf have joined at the hip ever since.

Founded in 2008 as a 501c(3) organization, the Yavapai Indian Foundation provides philanthropic support to the Yavapai Nation and its people. The Foundation’s main focus is to preserve the Yavapai heritage, culture and language through ongoing initiatives: encouraging healthy lifestyles; contributing to educational programs; building an assisted living center for the elderly; a new youth gymnasium and swimming pool; and many other worthy causes.

We-Ko-Pa Golf Club’s Cholla course reopened on October 28th after a $1.8 million renovation project to update vital elements of the award-winning golf experience that invariably require attention with time. While most of the country is busy shoveling snow this December, We-Ko-Pa Golf Club is offering a one-of-a-kind golf experience thanks to our friends at Golf Digest.

Things are moving along smoothly just one month into the Cholla Course renovation project. We-Ko-Pa’s top-notch agronomy team completed the sprigging process for the greens on the front-9 and they are now moving on to the back nine this week.
