We-Ko-Pa Introduces Winter Menu

Unlike most golf clubs around the country who spend the winter buried in knee-deep snow or frostbitten by Nor’easter winds, We-Ko-Pa Golf Club just outside Scottsdale, Arizona is blessed with warm winter sunshine, calm breezes and incredible sunsets that capture the essence of the Sonoran Desert. So, while your friends, family and colleagues spend the season bundled up in multiple layers of goose-down and long johns, you can enjoy the new winter menu at We-Ko-Pa Grille – arguably the best al fresco dining experience of any golf club in the southwestern United States.

Let’s begin with breakfast, the most important meal of the day. Get a jumpstart on your morning with The Big Swing Breakfast Sandwich – the perfect blend of quick and delicious – made with two scrambled jumbo eggs, two slices of aged, thick-cut bacon and melted American cheese served on an artesian croissant. Couple the sandwich with a side of fruit and you have a recipe for a great round on a full belly.

Need a quick mid-round pick-me-up after nine holes at Arizona’s Ultimate Golf Experience? The Saguaro Grille – adjacent to holes 1, 9, 10 and 18 – has your back with multiple mouthwatering options available at a moment’s notice. A hot dog is a hot dog, right? All the same? Wrong. The Quarter Pound “Nathans” Hot Dog at the turn could be the best hot dog you’ve ever had and comes complete with all the fixings from fresh jalapenos and red onion to deli mustard and sauerkraut served on a grilled bun with house-made potato chips.

Forget the boring, status-quo of the post-round “snack.” Take your time and enjoy the sunset at the We-Ko-Pa Grille patio overlooking the pristine and untouched Sonoran Desert. Late lunch and dinner options at the Grille range from lighter items like salads and wraps to hearty sandwiches and burgers and even specialty items you won’t find at other golf properties like authentic Carne Asada tacos and beautiful, sharable appetizers to satisfy even the pickiest eaters in your foursome. Buffalo Chicken Salad

Crispy fried chicken breast, sliced and tossed in We-Ko-Pa’s own buffalo sauce, laid atop fresh romaine lettuce, bleu cheese crumbles and diced tomatoes. Served with Ken’s Ranch dressing on the side.

Carne Asada Tacos

House grilled Carne Asada diced red onion, cilantro and cotija cheese. Served with a lime wedge, fresh-made tortilla chips and a side of house-made salsa.

Western Bacon Burger

Topped with Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce, two strips of bacon, cheddar cheese, onion strings, lettuce and tomato.

Tropical Pulled Pork Sandwich

Whole pork butt that is slow roasted for 12 hours in We-Ko-Pa’s own oven, then hand shredded. It’s smothered in Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce and piled high on a double knotted Kaiser roll and topped with a grilled pineapple ring, a green pepper ring and provolone cheese.

We-Ko-Pa Nachos

Crispy house-made tortilla chips layered with green chile queso Seguro cheese sauce and kac and cheddar cheeses. Served with sour cream, pico de gallo and guacamole on top and fresh house-made salsa on the side. Feel free to add chicken, beef, pork, chili or Carne Asada if you want.
